It seems that all the news lately about restaurants is regarding them closing locations or shutting down totally. Red Lobster, Pizza Hut, Boston Market, TGI Fridays, Popeyes, Cracker Barrel and Applebee's are just a few of the chains that have shuttered restaurants due to financial struggles. However, one chain that closed down all of their locations four years ago is making a comeback.

After closing all 97 locations for good in May of 2020 due to the struggles caused by the pandemic, Sweet Tomatoes, the beloved all-you-can-eat salad buffet restaurant chain, has opened a new store Tucson. The news has elated customers, who are willing to wait in long lines to make themselves salads for a meal at the eatery.

Reviews of the return have been very positive, and now, people on social media are calling for the chain to open locations near them.

No word yet on if the company plans to open more locations, but it seems there is definitely a market for the restaurants, as many posts on social media show.

If you live near Tucson or happen to be heading there and want to try what Sweet Tomatoes describes as their "farm-fresh ingredients, artisan salads, baked goods and soups made from scratch," their location is at 6202 E Broadway Boulevard. Meanwhile, you can keep up to date with Sweet Tomatoes, which also had restaurants under the name Souplantation, on Instagram.
