Kelly Clarkson Blows Her Talk Show Audience Away With 'Chandelier' Cover

Kelly Clarkson had the best first-week run of her new daytime talk show.

The American Idol star, who celebrated the premiere of The Kelly Clarkson Show this week, has been having the time of her life with her new television venture. Episode after episode, the 37-year-old powerhouse opens her NBC program with a special performance as part of a musical segment called "Kellyoke," in which the star delivers a karoke-style cover of another artist's record. Some of the songs she's covered, so far, included the Jonas Brothers' "Sucker," Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance," Dolly Parton's "9 to 5," and Aretha Franklin's "Think."

For Friday's broadcast (September 13), the singer-songwriter closed out her final episode of the week with a stellar rendition of Sia's mega-hit "Chandelier." No stranger to belting out high notes of her own, Clarkson soared with a soulful, effortless interpretation of the tune, blowing audience members away as they stood to cheer her on.

Clarkson's cover performances haven't been limited to just her talk show, either. Earlier this week, the musician also made a late-night guest appearance on Jimmy Fallon's The Tonight Show, where the two played a few rounds of the musical game Beat Battle, during which Clarkson took on pop hits like Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello’s “Señorita,” Ariana Grande’s “No Tears Left to Cry,” and Billie Eilish’s “Bad Guy.”

The Kelly Clarkson Show airs every weekday at 2 p.m. EST on NBC.
