Airbnb posted over 30,000 unique listings across the world in 2021 and they want to add more by creating the $10 million OMG! Fund. The fund will give 100 entrants $100,000 each to turn their crazy home ideas into some passive income.
Airbnb is now accepting submissions through July 22nd and the judgement will be based on originality, feasibility, sustainability, and the experience that the space can provide for guests. There are only two requirements, which is when the project is complete, the fund recipients must rent the new space on Airbnb and can't list the property on competing short-term rental platforms for a year.
Airbnb's platform search tool now encourages travelers to explore by category where they can find listings grouped by a feature such as a grand piano, chef's kitchen, and amazing food. Click here for more.
