A street near the Pico Rivera Sports Arena Complex is officially renamed after the late legendary Mexican singer, Vicente Fernández.
The sign was unveiled this morning, August 26th, on the corner of Sports Arena Drive and Rooks Road and the Pico Rivera City Council had approved the renaming of the street back in May. Vicente, known as "Chente," sadly had passed last December at the age of 81. Throughout his career, Vicente had played at the Pico Rivera Sports Arena many times and even has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which he got back in 1998. Click here for more.
