Man, this type of stuff really makes me sad.
A scammer pretending to be Bruno Mars swindled this 63 year old woman out of $100k. The victim told cops that she made an IG account back in 2018 and connected with someone claiming to be Bruno. They developed an online relationship and eventually asked for cash.
And of course and often times in these situations she cut some checks. One for $90k and one for $10k! Police say they found the money in a bank account of Chinwendu Azuonwu and accomplice Basil Amadi. Both being faced with money laundering charges.
