Thursday night at Chicago's fourth-tallest building, the former John Hancock Center 6 tourists were trapped while traveling from the lobby to the 95th floor for hours.
Crew members were finally called into the building around 12:30 a.m. Unfortunately, the exact position of the elevator was stuck in what is considered a "blind shaft." Meaning that there were no openings for firefighters to reach it.
Once the elevator position was located to be closest to the 11th floor.
