Chelsy Davy, Prince Harry's ex-girlfriend of seven years, attended the Royal Wedding on Saturday. Of course, Twitter had a field day when the camera panned to Davy.
The jewelry designer and Harry had dated on and off for seven long years between 2004 and 2011, after meeting in Cape Town when Harry was on his gap year after university, and it’s widely considered that she was Harry’s first love. Chelsy was in the world’s spotlight after she began accompanying him to public royal events. She even met the Queen a number of times.
After the two split, Chelsy was still considered a close friend to the family, and was invited to Prince William and Kate Middleton's 2011 wedding.
“[Dating Harry] was so full-on: Crazy and scary and uncomfortable,” she revealed after they split for good. “I found it very difficult when it was bad. I couldn't cope. I was young, I was trying to be a normal kid and it was horrible.”
The public kept waiting for a proposal, but the two were never meant to tie the knot.
