Nicki Minaj is planning a major comeback for the new year.
On Wednesday, September 24, the New York native announced that her sixth studio album will arrive in March 2026. Minaj didn't reveal anything else about the album, but it's possible she could be talking about the anticipated third installment of her Pink Friday album series. Last year, the Harajuku Barbie announced her plans to release an entirely new album, rather than delivering an additional deluxe version of her Pink Friday 2 album.
"PF3 is about to do PRECISELY wtf BEEN needed to be done," Minaj wrote at the time. "TRUST ME BARBZ. IM SO EXCITED."
Nicki Minaj hasn't dropped any music since she delivered her Pink Friday 2 album. The original project features 22 tracks, including "FTCU," "Red Ruby Da Sleeze," "Super Freaky Girl," and "Last Time I Saw You." It also boasts collaborations with Drake, Lil Wayne, Future, Lil Uzi Vert, Skillibeng and more. Minaj followed up with deluxe editions featuring songs like "Beep Beep" featuring 50 Cent and "Love Me Enough" featuring Monica and Keyshia Cole.
Several months after the album dropped, Nicki Minaj embarked on her "Pink Friday 2 World Tour." Minaj traveled the world along with Monica, BIA, Tyga, and Skillibeng and grossed over $108.8 million after performing at 79 shows. Minaj closed out the tour with a massive show in Elmont, New York, with special guests Sexyy Red and 50 Cent. After the show, Minaj teased the idea of going on a hiatus, but later told her fans she "ain’t going no mthfkn where."
