Lizzo is protecting her peace and taking some time off for a "gap year."

The "Truth Hurts" singer took to her Instagram on Sunday (August 25) to share a serene video of her in a black swimsuit standing outside in the rain during her stay in Bali, per Billboard. She previously told fans that "unfortunately I'll be posting way too many bikini pics" during her time on the Indonesian island and even showed off her impressive jumprope exercise in a sped-up video shared on her Instagram Stories.

"I'm taking a gap year & protecting my peace," she captioned the clip.

Earlier this year, Lizzo addressed speculation that she was quitting music after sharing an exasperated message to social media of "i quit" that many took to mean she was looking to put an end to her music career. The "Good As Hell" singer said in an April Instagram post that she was "getting tired of putting up with being dragged by everyone in my life and on the internet" while all she wanted to do was "make music and make people happy and help the world be a little better than how I found it."

After sharing how she wanted to "quit giving any negative energy attention," she shared a post in May about how she felt in a better place in terms of her mental health, saying that she was "the happiest I've been in 10 months."

"The strange thing about depression is you don't know you're in it until you're out of it," she said. "I'm definitely not all the way as carefree as I used to be.. But the dark cloud that followed me every day is finally clearing up."
