Kristin Cavallari Fires Social Media Staffer Over 'Insensitive' 9/11 Post

Kristin Cavallari received heat after sharing a "super insensitive" post remembering the September 11th terrorist attack, but it appears that the post was the responsibility of one of her social media reps.

As per Page Six, the E! reality star fired the social media staffer after the individual shared a sexy shot of the star on the streets of New York City on Wednesday (September 11). "NYC for 24hrs. And what a time to be here..always remember," the caption to the post read. Of course, the combination of sexy low-cut blazer (with no bra) and the 18-year anniversary of the attacks on Manhattan's Twin Towers didn't fare well with users. "This is super insensitive," one person wrote, to which many agreed. "I love you and think that you are generally spot on in the things that you choose to present, but this is just disrespectful and undermining to the magnitude of the events that occurred on that horrific day," another follower commented.

However, if you head over to the post now, the caption has been modified to: "NYC for 24hrs." Apparently, the former Hills star and her team sent the photo to a staff member to promote her new collaboration with Daltile on Tuesday night and the staffer took it upon herself to modify the caption without Cavallari’s knowledge while she was in a fitting on Wednesday morning.

"There's nothing comfortable about firing somebody," Cavallari previously told Page Six. "I just fired my first person not that long ago and I honestly felt like I was going to throw up. I hate doing it. I haven’t had to do it that much — let’s just clear that up. But I have had to do a couple and it’s awful. It’s extremely difficult and I really want no part of it."
